Specialties
Our office offers several high tech and up to date treatment options.
Diagnostic Ultrasound
Diagnostic ultrasound is used to view the soft tissues of the foot
and ankle in the same way that ultrasound is used to visualize the
unborn infant. It is painless and gives us the ability to view soft
tissue injuries immediately.
Dr. Hineser has been using Diagnostic Ultrasound for several years
and has taught courses on this technique and trained other
podiatrists to perform Diagnostic Ultrasound.
Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy
ESWT - Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy is a procedure used to treat chronic heel pain (plantar fasciitis/heel spur syndrome). "Extracorporeal" means "outside of the body," and refers to this non-invasive surgical procedure in which strong sound waves are directed at the area of heel pain. The device used is similar to that currently used in non-surgical treatment of kidney stones.
Laser Surgery
Dr. Hineser uses Laser Surgery to treat common skin conditions such as ingrown nails, warts, and other soft tissue problems. We conveniently have a Laser on site, and are able to treat these conditions quickly and efficiently in our office.
Prolotherapy
This technique dates back to the time of Hippocrates. Prolotherapy uses small amounts of simple solutions, such as glucose, to strengthen ligaments and tendons. Using this technique on ankle injuries, plantar fasciitis, and sprains and strains, often allows us to treat conditions non-surgically, which would otherwise require surgery.
PinPointe Laser
We are pleased to now be able to offer you the most up to date and
state of the art treatment for fungus toenails. The PinPointe laser
has an 88% reported success rate. The treatment does not require any
anesthesia and only takes about 40 minutes. The treatment is safe,
no side effects, does not harm the skin or nail, usually only one
treatment is needed, shoes and nail polish can be worn immediately
after treatment. Treat those embarrassing ugly toenails safely and
effectively.
